The government sometimes awards grants for certain purposes, which is basically free money that does not need to be repaid. Many times organizations for the disabled run off donations and grants which are necessary for them to stay afloat. This is the case for nonprofits, who do not earn money from their efforts.

Or, you could learn about grant writing and track down a particular grant you want to apply for. You should not have to pay for grant listings, as they can be found for free online with the right research. It is not always possible to get a grant, however there are still a wide variety of helpful services and resources for disabled individuals.
